Precious Moment

Nice & lovely day at the beach is what we expected when we planned to organise an outing to the beach.

In Brunei Darussalam, there are numbers of beautiful beaches (known in Malay as 'Pantai') namely Pantai Serasa, Pantai Muara, Pantai Tungku, Pantai Seri Kenangan and Pantai Lumut. Among the listed beaches, the most beautiful beach (i personally categorised it as clean & happening) is Pantai Seri Kenangan; literally known as "memories.."

I have been teaching tourism students in Hospitality & Tourism Deparment in Sultan Saiful Rijal College for almost 5 years now, and had experienced a lot of outings such as barbeques, picnic, and so on.

It was last year 2005 when the department organised an outing at Muara Beach in Brunei Muara District (not far from where i work). Staff and students were having such a fun time; playing beach football, water balloon fighting, passing parcels, sprinkling flour towards the final year students and so on.

Talking about food, Hospitality & Tourism Department is well known with creating delicious recipes based on types of occassion. For the outing, the staff and students prepared marinated chicken wings, beef, lamb chop, sausages; pasta, fruit punch and so many desserts! Some students especially those who were in catering course and their final year helped the staff to do the cooking, the rest doing their own business.....

But for me and my close friends were doing something else. At first, we were just enjoying our time at the chalet when we came up with some exciting ideas! Playing with sand .. as if kindergarten kids! (Well age does not stop us from doing something exciting!!!) It was quite fun for us!

My friends, Julie and Deena built sand castles which were quite 'UGLY' to me due to the 'BAD' towers design! Hehehehe! But one thing i admired was the sand gates (i was not quite sure who built it.....) It reminds me of arabic castle .........

As they were too energetic in building sand castles .... I came out with an idea ... and guess what, i made a 'CUTE', 'SWEET' & 'FUNKY' crocodile. (look at the photo above), it proved that they love my crocodile! Hahahahaha!
